>>32759360I really wish you could nickname from the PC, it makes no sense to have to talk to an NPC to be allowed to call your Pokemon something else. And why is he still called the name rater, it was misleading as a kid and now that I know how it works it's just stupid.
Anyway, I don't nickname them when I catch them because I like to base it off of their 'personality'. In the newer games this means taking their nature and characteristic into account, and I also like to put them through a few battles til they've sort of proven themselves in some way, if that makes sense.
But most of the time I can't be assed to go back to the name rater and so they remain unnamed.
