So? If the problem of having many pokemon is cartridge memory Alolan forms certainly don't fix that because every alolan variant takes up the same space as a regular pokemon.

I don't think anyone is going to start using Diglett again just because there is a new Diglett with hair that doesn't even evolve from the old version.
