In the early days of the SM metagame, when people would use all kinds of random alolan shitmons in OU, I had a blast using a scarf moondoggo. It can take at least one hit from stuff like megazard Y or a-marowak (obviously not solar beam or earthquake, but everything else can't OHKO) and revenge kill with stone edge. Crunch killed alolan raichu. Fire fang put ferrothorn in range of other attacks, and brick break just because.
This doesn't work anymore in OU for obvious reasons. You can try it in NU, see how it goes.
