Most of the time it doesn't matter. NPCs say the same shit. I think Lillie is the only one who responds differently sometimes.

I feel like a lot of the "choices" you can make have absolutely no effect at all in SM. Like when you meet Wicke, you can say either "Nice to meet you" or "Alola!" to her, neither of which have any real effect; she doesn't even respond with different dialogue for each choice.

I'm sure there are much bigger issues with the games, but that still bothers me a fair bit.

That's why I was so surprised when I said I didn't like Lillie's new outfit, and she actually responded differently and got mad at me. I wish they did more stuff like this in the future.

There was absolutely no reason to give us dialogue branches. Most of them were choosing between 'Okay!' and 'Sounds good!'

It's the mass effect style of player involvement, giving the illusion of choice while staying on a linear path.
