There is 0 reason to breed anything pre Alola in SM. Unless you like buggy RNG, and breaking the circle pad on your 3DS.

I bought Y last year and have completed the National Pokédex with help of AS and the Mythical Legendaries Distribution.

I had 180 Hours at the time I got both the Diploma and the Shiny Charm (right now I have almost 222 Hours because of the Battle Maison and Battle Spot)

As long as those games' online feature are still working, there will be people playing them. You wouldn't believe me when I tell you that even when XY were released there were people playing both Gen 4 and 5.

Got to tell ya. I miss that when I go back, but as long as I know what IV's are maxed out, low like speed for TR or if the hidden power is right then it doesn't matter. Especially when I can just level them up with different OT+lucky egg+O power in the Blissey Bases to Lv 100. IVs become irrelevant at that point.
