I honestly think the reason they tried to go all out with Super was some sort of contract was ending—it was about ten years after Rescue Team in Japan—and they wouldn't be able to make any more

If not though yeah it'll probably happen

I sincerely hope Super wasn't their idea of "going all out". If you consider having the entire pokedex "going all out" then every PMD except Gates could've been the last one.

The first Pokemon DS games were

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team

Which also released on GBA

The first 3ds Pokemon game was Pokemon mystrey dungeon gates to invintity

So switch having a Pokemon mystery dungeon next year and gen 8 in 2019. Makes sense

Or maybe pokken overtook mystery dungeon

Nah I think having all the continents, all the cameo characters, and the biggest action movie plot yet was their idea of all out also signified by just having "Super" in the title
