Turn 1 Ion Deluge and Explosion. Banded Explosion after STAB from Ion Deluge hurts and outright kills most of what doesn't resist it despite Electrode's shitty Attack stat. Motor Drive is activated and Electivire takes no damage, bonus boosts if opponent used Return or something.

Turn 2 clean up and enjoy a 3-2 lead.
