How do you make this guy work? I've tried several different things and nothing really makes the Zen mode worth it. Playing on Black version.

You don't, it's actually one of the most awful gimmick mons concocted by GF. For successful HP-dependent forme changes, see Zygarde, Greninja, and Wishiwashi.

They fucked up Zen mode so bad, it's not even usable ingame.

Which I'd be pissed about, but regular Darmanitan is cooler anyways.
