Will we ever get another generation that doesnt have one of the two legendary deity pokemon on its cover, mirroring their epic fight? This has been the case since g/s and never stopped since.

It's just to make the games more interesting and more in-depth. Kanto games sucked so we don't talk about those.

Probably not, mabye gen 9 as an anniversary reference will have 3 versions and each version has a final evolved gen 9 starter on the cover but they would go back to legendarys in gen 10.
