>favorite gen
5th generation was by far my favorite. Mostly because I fell in love with so many of the designs. 2nd gen had been my favorite for a long time until replaying the remakes and realizing a lot of the new pokemon were unavailable or just not really worth using, so you ended up having almost half you team from kanto. Not a huge issue, but I really loved the fact that 5th gen was a completely fresh start. I only bought the other version so i could do play throughs with new mons I had wanted to but couldnt fit in a team.
>least favorite gen
7th by far. I came back to pokemon at 4th gen and even then the games were already out so i didnt know what to expect. In the end, I had a lot of fun. Then 5th gen came out and delivered pretty much exactly what I figured it would, and as mentioned above, it was great. Sixth gen was a touch iffy, but the initial play through did manage to be some fun. Plus I gave it a lil bit of slack since it was the big transition to 3D. At the very least it let me have my adventure.
7th gen wouldnt shut the fuck up with its cutscenes. The games felt short, new mons were almost impossible to find and most ended up being riddled with poor stats. Trying to make a story with cardboard characters was dull, and the characters I did care about got no screen time. Just a terrible time for all the hype.
>something i hate of 5th gen
Making audino's appear everywhere and having them easily found meant overleveling was pretty easy. And he one really hard fight with ghetsis was only really hard because he hacked his Hydregion. Gym leaders should of had more pokemon.
>something i love about 7th gen
I did like the designs of a lot of the new pokemon. And I did admire GF's attempt to shy away from the traditional pokemon copy and past adventure, even if it crashed and burned.
