And while you're including trade evolutions, you'll realize there's tons of Stone evolution clones as well, such as the grass types one for each game, and mincinno/cincinno (clearly a normal type/pikachu copy), plus Seismitoad being basically Poliwrath, Vanilluxe being the first three headed mon like Magneton and Dugtrio since gen 1, then you'll also realize the fossils have the exact same typings as gen 1 fossils and they're not even direct counterparts like there were in previous gens (what does a bird have anything to do with a turtle? obviously the typing doesn't come from them being counterparts from from a homage to gen 1), then you'll realize there's no pokeball mon since gen 1's voltorb but now you have amoonguss, no human shaped mons since gen 1 but now you have ton of them, the swords of justice literally have the same weight and height as the legendary beasts.
The more you'll think of it, the more you'll realize gen 5 is just one big gen 1 copy.
