Decidueye - Snipers don't move around a lot.

Incineroar - Wrestlers don't either.

Primarina - Opera singers don't either.

Vikavolt - No idea but my guess is that since they carry Charjabug sometimes, this weighs and slows them down

Midnight Lycanroc - It lets the opponent move first.

Wishiwashi - Small fish + too many Pokemon make up its giant form

Toxapex - Based on brutal star that barely moves

Mudsdale - Big ass horse

Almost every new Pokemon I've seen on these islands that isn't an Alolan form Kantomon happens to have the Pinsir/Metagross stat spread.

There are various exceptions (like Vikavolt being "BIG SPECIAL ATK FUCK PHYSICAL") and a few Alolan fastmons, but it's clear Gamefreak didn't want a gen full of sweepers like 4th gen.

I can't imagine why the Jet-plane looking bug being slow would confuse people.

I can't imagine why a pokemon whose dex entry describes how "It zips around" might cause some commotion when it's actually incredibly slow.

I just... I don't get it. I can't see why this one pokemon, whose design screams "fast" might attract some notice when it turns out to be not fast.

Oh, of course! Horses are known for not moving around a lot, and being extremely slow when they do! Big ass horses were never used for, say, cavalry C H A R G E S or anything like that. Of course Mudsdale is slower than something like Tauros - after all, horses are slow and bulls are fast!
