Why does GameFreak 100% intentionally and knowingly make pokemon shit? Or leave pokemon from past gens in a state of shittiness without fixing them?
I mean, I know balance is complicated. There would be a meta no matter what happened. If all the worst pokemon were buffed, there would just be a new list of worse pokemon etc. I'm not asking them to make a genuinely balanced game where all the hundreds of fully evolved mons are all equally useful. I know that isn't possible.
What I'm saying is, why make mons that don't even try to not be shit? What is even the point? Do GF employees just want to add new shit to the NU meta or something? What would be the harm in giving something like Oricorio a speed and special attack stat over 100 for example? It wouldn't break anything. It still wouldn't be very good either. But it's like, yeah, they intentionally made it to be shit and just do it anyways.
