wait for the yellow flash, then swipe. try to use your fast attacks more carefully, and watch for charge moves. dodging is essential in raids, they will 2 or 3-shot a lot of pokemon otherwise.

Yeah, it kinda pains me the the one pub in my entire neighborhood with anything near it is the worst pub.
Everything else just has nothing.

It's really curbing my ability to care about the game because I can't just go have a nice time and also play some PoGo, I need to either have a good time/run errands, or go out specifically for the purpose of playing GO and it's just not good enough of a game to do the latter very often.

Salamence (hits harder than Dragonite but is less bulky)

Metagross (great defensive typing and good bulk)

Slaking (hits incredibly hard, is bulky as fuck, and has a max cp of over 5000; probably will be nerfed somehow)

Aggron (the new Rhydon due to quad weaknesses to fighting and ground; might be a decent bulky attacker)

Gardevoir (will be the strongest fairy in the game due to high max CP and the extra psychic typing)

Milotic (a bulkier Gyarados without the quad weakness to electric; will be a great defender if it gets Ice Beam)

Swampert (see Aggron)

I'm fucking done with raids, guys.

I was in a group fighting a Tyranitar and I'm getting my team of fighting types completely wiped out because Niantic's shitty netcode decides to apply full damage to my Machamp two seconds after I dodge Fire Blast and what the fuck are my teammates using? Fucking Flareon and Ninetales!

Everyone is too fucking retarded for raids and even if they weren't, good luck making your way through this broken mess of a game to come out on top.

Fuck Niantic, I've seen tribal niggers in Africa program better than these dipshits.

You usually power up a Pokemon after you evolve it so that you minimise the cucking from Hanke. You can mitigate it with TMs but TMs are a scarce resource and also RNG so unless it's some 90%+ Pokemon you really want to keep, evolve first, then power it up if its moveset doesn't suck.

That said, in answer to your real question, powering up a Pokemon before or after you evolve does not matter. It's like the mainline games in that aspect.

Movesets are pure RNG.

So you can spend your precious 125 Dratini candies on a Dragonite and get Steel Wing / Hyper Beam and it's fucking shit and a waste of 125 candies.

But if you also spent dust+candies on powering it up before you evolved it, now you're just fucking out of luck with that shit Dragonite. Sure again, you can try to fix the moveset with TMs but let's be honest, that's going to take you days/weeks depending on how well you do in beating lv 3 and lv 4 raids with organised groups. And even then, TMs are also pure RNG so you're just prolonging your cucking.

I have no coins for incubators to hatch things since I get like 20 coins a day now (really it's 50 once every few days and nothing in between that)... which means you need to catch 1000 pokemon to power up something from lvl 30 to 37, that's absurd. They really need to up the amount you get for feeding things in gyms or something.

Probably once or twice a day since they start early morning and stop by 9pm, and the egg has a 2 hour timer and the raid itself lasts 1 hour. So that's 3 hours per raid out of 12-15 hours. Who knows how long the cooldown between raids is, if there is one.

I don't have one myself yet, but Scizor seems to work well enough as a defender - I've seen a few of them in gyms and they all put up a good fight. The 4x weakness to Fire is unfortunate though, given that we've just had a Fire (and Ice) event, but everything has a weakness that people can exploit anyway.
In any case, he looks cool and is harder to get than a lot of stuff because of the Metal Coat, so you can always show him off in gyms.

With the exception of actual buttons, any phone from the last 5 years is better than the 3DS in every way.
Real buttons can be done on phones but every developer is pretty insistent on either making tapfests or shitty onscreen controls.
The switch closes the gap, but it retains some of the biggest problems of the 3DS like being terrible at playing in sunlight and horrible battery.

If you still need a high-IV Gyarados you might as well do a Magikarp raid here and there instead of waiting for a lucky hatch. It's not like most of the raids have anything useful to catch, since you probably either already have everything that's available or are unable to beat it on your own.

I use my candies on Mareep. I would say save them for the legendaries but you'd need the bag space for that. Once I've got my Ampharos I'll probably start using them on Pineco or Porygon, the only two shitmons I still need to evolve. After that I might start farming Chansey candies.

Now this i disagree with. They will never release mainline games on Android or pc because that stops them from being able to police it, and i do like the idea of mobile consoles. I can't imagine USM being playable without crashes, XY was already bad and needed a far more powerful console to truly show it potential. It's probably why so much of the 3DS Pokemon games are so linear and lacking with content.

I honestly can't bear playing most games without physical buttons, though. Go is one of the rare exceptions.

The benefit of designing games for a dedicated single console is that you can use the console's strengths to your advantage, too. App games need to be compatible with as many devices as possible, so despite increased processing power the games themselves are usually pretty simple.

I'll give you that the 3ds is a comfy console to play, it's super frustrating to deal with the glare or all the features they refuse to update or make usable.
Also unless you have a crappy knockoff phone, your 3ds will NEVER outlast a phone for paying games.
Unmodded 3ds get 3-7 hours with 3d off depending on your model (nu3ds owners got shafted hard, the thing has no battery life) while a phone can get upwards 7-10 hours of use, and charges easily using a lightweight cable.
I have an extended battery on my 3ds, but it also removes lots of its portability.

We've got pogo, a few not-terrible games like mh dynamic hunting and terraria, and emulators (a modern flagship Android can emulate some GC games) and the rest is all tap trash and whale bait and it physically pains me to see this cancer take over what could be a fun game environment.

LG H440n with android 6.0. GPS never worked so had to spoof. Spoofing really laggy and apps crashing all the time. Walking is impossible. Joystick disappears. Can only get shitmons near pokestops. Battling is possible only sometimes. Currently using Fake GPS Pro app. It has been always really tedious but after raids update it is hell. Any fag with the same problem? Any solution?. No money to buy new phone so have to deal with it still for a long while. If GPS worked would not spoof.
