Of course it will be. When has GF EVER delayed a game? That's like saying "haha, you don't seriously think a new Call of Duty is gonna come out in 2018, do you? They just released the last one last year!"

Maybe you're retarded and think this is gonna be some kind of brand new direction for the franchise instead of just yet another slight iteration on the last one with slightly better graphics and slightly more streamlined features.

They invested a bunch of money into making a scalable engine and models for XY for the sole purpose of making the games faster. If you're expecting Pokémon Switch to be "the fully 3D, interactive Pokémon simulator I've always wanted" or absolutely anything more than the 3DS games, I feel sorry for you but look forward to your disappointed tantrums when it's finally revealed.

That's probably because they spent time localizing emerald and FR/LG. Localization isn't an issue anymore.

It was just delayed.

Which could indeed happen to Switch-mon as well but it shouldn't be expected.

There were reasons there was a gap in between Gens before and GF has taken future proofing steps to make sure that isn't such a problem in the future.

Things like the fairly HD models of Pokémon and characters and Bank meaning transfer methods are not needing to be redone all mean faster future development.
