It's BL2 so that's at least one thing he didn't get right.
I believe most compfags deep down think Talonflame shouldn't have been nerfed but don't want to admit it.
Although Talonflame wasn't broken by any means, it certainly had a restricting effect on the meta. Whether this effect was bad is a bit questionable, seeing the state of the SM meta.

Didn't Talonflame directly lead to the rise of Bulky Offense in early Gen 6? It defintely made Bulky Offense and Balance more popular as time went on and I really think it did help the meta overall.

Though it existing without the nerf would make Zygarde even better for OU so who knows. I liked Zygarde in early XY OU.
