>>32952327 is telling the truth I meanAbout the actual plot, well I'd like to eat my dinner before it gets cold so I'll give a brief summary until someone else does a longer one:
beginning of the movie goes basically just like the first episode of the series, except no undyne
Ho-Oh passes by, he drops a rainbow feather that Ash catches
A bit later Ash learns that this feather is the key to meeting Ho-Oh
Marshadow begins to haunt ash, at some point after Ash loses his fight against Cross and start going evil, he gives him a nightmare in which he forgot pokemon existed and lives in our world without pokemon, then he starts to cry when he feels that pikachu is missing, and remembers him. The feather which had gone black when he was being a jerk went back to being rainbow.
They get to the mountain where Ho Oh is supposed to come, but Cross arrives again and wants to fight Ash to get to fight Ho Oh in his place, Ash wins using Charizard (who evolved mid-fight) but cross grabs the feather from his hands and tries to place it on the altar-thingy, but since cross was evil-minded the feather got black, that's when Marshadow started going batshit crazy.
Either way it ends well, Ash even gets to fight Ho Oh but it happens off screen.
...OH RIGHT Team Rocket is in the movie and is of no relevance whatsoever, Ash never actually meets them, you could remove all of their scenes and you wouldn't notice it.
