What is the dumbest way you've ever lost a nuzlocke?

Because I'm pretty mad right now. I'm doing a red randomizer and I decided to randomize tms, little did I know that also changes what pokemon can learn them. And I guess it applies for hms too, because I caught over 35 pokemon and NONE could learn cut. From metapod, dragonite, to meowth and syther. Nothing

Letting Blue's Gyarados get many Dragon Dances in because I was too cautious. So I wiped. I tried again after that, considering the Nuzlocke was already over, and defeated the Gyarados with no problems by being more aggressive. Nuzlocking HGSS just isn't fun.

Nuzlocking Fire Red, I'm at Celadon.
Goddamnit the game is kinda easy to nuzlocke but I'm having the worst luck, five turn losses to confusion in a row killed my Pidgeotto and three crits in a row killed my Dugtrio, plus I've locked myself out of encounters in three routes already due to the dupes clause.
Now I've got a lopsided as fuck team, which bothers me. Not to mention a sausagefest, I don't seem to be able to catch female mons in this run.
Moving on, ought I evolve Eevee into Vaporeon or wait for Espeon? I don't rightly remember what good water mons are ahead of me right now.

Update: Crasher Wake's Ground gym is defeated! Now that Ivan is an Umbreon, I caught myself another Eevee since dupes clause isn't active anymore.

Items are randomized and I haven't found a fire stone yet.
Feebas seems to be a replacement for Magikarp in the randomizer, so I think I can go and find another one.

Team before the Elite Four and any possible grinding I might do. Three of them were survivors from previous nuzlockes and has managed to survive their game of origin and all subsequent nuzlockes afterwards.

Because I've been doing each game where I move the surviving members of the final battle to the next game, would you say Ghetsis is the final battle for White or would it be Alder?

Barry Pastoria fight was a breeze. Threat the Gyarados plowed through the Gym and Crasher Wake's Gyarados.

Leafeon took out the Quagsire.

Then Gyarados Intimidated his Floatzel. Being insanely bulky, I hit it with 3 Leers before Threat was crit'ed with a Crunch.

Swapped in Luxor and used Fly. Missed the Fly and got hit with a Crunch that lowered my SpDef. I KNEW it carried some Ice-type move, so I swapped out into Houndoom and ate up the Ice Fang.

Now I was sitting there debating whether or not I should heal the Drifblim and potentially live a Brine from Floatzel, or go straight for the Thunder Fang I just taught Thorn before entering the Gym. I wasn't confident that the Thunder Fang would kill, but was positive a STAB Fly would kill a -3 Defense Floatzel.

Took the risk and heal Luxor, Thorn took the Brine and lived on 5 HP. Switched out to Luxor, took the Brine, used Fly and one shot the Floatzel.

Then caught Quagsire in the Great Marsh. I think I'm gonna grind Index and Marsha before hitting Route 212. Also, I forgot to include the Bibarel in my templates, she's just there as an HM Slave.

It could have gone worse.

i dont know shit about gen 4 onwards. not even level range. got to her 5 levels below lucario. it wasnt pretty. i was ready to throw the towel but then monferno (my last pokemon) survived somehow and killed lucario with a weak ass ember

now i have a goldeen a happiny a hoothoot and monferno and no routes/balls to catch stuff. fun times ahead.

also why the fuck monferno can learn grass knot but cant learn drain punch? what is this nonsense?

Same I had a Drifblim and tookout her other two mons but her Lucario jumped up like 3 levels.
Then she preceded to gain Attack Boosts through Metal Claw. Had to switch to Luxio and died to a crit Drain Punch. Fuck me right?

Grass Knot could come in handy, but yeah I'd definitely prefer Drain Punch. Stupid as hell

Fuck yeah.
I found a duck fishing in Viridian afterwards anyway.
Turns up it learns nothing better than confusion anyway, I was counting on it learning Zen Headbutt at level 29, only it's a BW2 change.
Still need something to oneshot Koga's Koffings, I don't wanna have them self-destruct and take one of my guys with them.

I like watching Nuzlockes on youtube, but it is rare to find someone with just the right entertainment value (lose pokemon regularly but still advance all the way to the end)

That said, I can't find any vanilla Nuzlockes. I just want to see somebody play through Red or Blue or Yellow or something with the very basic rules... so they might have a team of two spearows and their starter and two geoududes, that kind of thing

No. You're a bit on the low side level wise and you likely have only one supereffective move against only one of his pokemon. Also the guy is a fucking paralysis spamming faggot and you don't have any cheri berry equipped.

They have Shadow Tag, are fast as fuck, get access to Spore, Perish Song, and Destiny Bond, and the AI is smart enough to swap them out on the final turn so you have to watch as your mon dies to perish song with the loathing that MOTHERFUCK will claim another victim. Did I mention that it is ground/flying and has a fuckload of attack but only learns selfedestruct, earthquake, and explosion for attacking moves?

Lush Jungle Lurantis is the most bloodthirsty motherfucker I've run into in a nuzlocke since Blaze Black 2 Clay's Excadrill. Him and his faggot accomplice Castform. My Trumbeak just couldn't take down more than half its HP with Pluck, got whittled down so tried switching to Gumshoos. One shot crit Solar Blade. Switch the Magnemite, one shot crit solar blade. Switch to Brionne, one shot Solar Blade. Switch back to Trumbeak, manage to get it in the low yellow before she dies too. Mudbray dies instantly as well. My little Thick Club Cubone takes out Lurantis before joining his mother in the grave to a Weather Ball.

Holy shit, what an absolute monster of a Totem Battle. Some of my guys were SO close to evolving. I've lost 8 (EIGHT) team members since Wela National Park. Sun is harder to nuzlocke than I thought.

Luckily I have enough box mons for a new team with four to spare. Though 5 of the 10 are water type. Ugh.

You could always leave off random move types, I believe there's an option in the randomize that would still allow pokemon to gain moves that match type.

Randomized pokemon games are about the only way I can play nuzlocke games anymore. outside of trying to torture myself with bw2 challange or platinum under crazy hard rules.

Random types would only change stuff like Hyper beam becoming rock type or something like that.

I leave the move's power alone simply to avoid having spammable high power moves without a drawback.

But at least with random type on certain types can get moderately powerful moves if I'm lucky enough. 80-90 bp rock moves that don't come with retarded acc problems. Flying moves not named Fly or Wing attack.

Stuff like that.

In order of difficulty, how would you list Sacred Gold, BS Plat Intense and VW2 Challenge Mode?
I'm gonna try doing another run of each in ascending difficulty order.
I'm assuming VW2 CM would be the hardest, but less sure about SG and BSPlat.

Y is kind of my kryptonite. It was the first game I ever Nuzlocked, and I have since failed it completely twice, and given up on it early on countless times, all with this same ruleset. I need to just buckle down and give this thing one more, solid attempt.
