>>32981378This is why it is a temporary measure, that doesn't need to be implemented.
It only allows authorization of creation, not guarenteed creation of a new thread.
At the current time, due to the agreements of the past thread, it currently stands at "If an Eevee Friday thread doesn't hit 150 images before the flood, we are authorized to make an continuation for the next day." Common sense would say "2nd day, if we don't hit 100 images before the flood, 3rd day authorized." Et cetera and so on.
I am willing to take suggestions for the original thread image threshold before implementing a new thread.
Once the flood ends, we go back to normal Eevee Friday, but there is no guarentee when the flood will be over, especially with the lack of proactive defense, and not even the decency to restore threads from the archive.
if it bothers you, you should've voted. If you did, then that's just democracy.
If it still bothers you, step up as a representative for an Eevee and say "nay" in making new threads when its called for.
>>32981415Mostly because of the European posters who don't get to enjoy the full Eevee Friday because of the morning flood.
That, and this measure is to fight the flood; a way to say "We will not back down, flood our board all you want, our autism exceeds yours and we will survive."
Also for your second part.
I'm not a speculative person, and I don't like making decisions based on assumptions. What better way to figure out how to understand a mountian, than to speak to the mountian itself? When you climb a mountain, sometimes you find different perspectives, and sometimes you find your own resolute goals, and I have found both.
