"Rotation of the earth", to use your example, is not equal to the "rotation of the Earth". Earth is a world that also just means the ground/planet in general. In case you don't know how to Google:

If you went to Mars you could still feel the rotation of the "earth" in other words.
Now, it likely is another version of Earth because they mention real world places but who even knows then?
