man mega swampert in rain is some shit. counters are so scarce and situational. you need to switch a weather stopper or changer in. most of the time it's charizardY, which means you need to not only have it mega evolved before switching, you also have to take a still respectable amount of damage from waterfall even in the sun. and then factor in potential (likely) stealth rock damage.

Ludicolo is slower and weaker than both, and it has an arguably worse movepool than Golduck due to being unable to beat things like Toxapex and Venusaur. I suppose beating Fini does give it a good enough niche over Kingdra and Golduck though.
