She knew the truth, but she kept calm, Godot told her that much, they needed evidence and the right time.
They waited, gathering proof, it took some time, she needed to be older.
What they were doing was playing the long game, but they held onto the truth, just to keep it alive and solidly crystal.
Their father didn't have it yet, but they were closer than he ever was because he was blinding himself to something that they were willing to see.
She eventually revealed her findings to Professor Rowan, right in front of her father, with every ounce of proof and evidence she collected.
Her face beaming with confidence, she turned to him, but she thought he would be proud.
Instead, she saw venomous hatred.
"How could you hate me so much, you bitch..."
Those were the last words he ever spoke to her.
He disowned her, stating that such a daughter that could humiliate him like that was no daughter of his, he burned all of her things just to further prove his point.
Professor Rowan was of a different mindset, he was happy that she did such a thorough job with her research, even noting the length of time that she went through in studying it all.
He offered her a place to stay, she still found herself emotionally hurt from what had happened.
Losing her home, her family, she just... found herself feeling utterly unable to cope with it. She did recover a little, trying to help out with what she could in the lab, but her emotions just made her incapable of functioning around people.
Instead, she had to find new work behind the scenes, it was there that she was taught a little on electronics, gradually, she learned how to repair the machines in the lab.
This was something she learned over a course of a few years, she did grow to love it, even taking apart machines to rebuild them herself.
