that it's too gruelling to replay games older than 10 years in obsolete consoles (although emulation fixes that).
had they not been doing that the only means of obtaining the old mons is either to replay them and trade into future gens
(which is hard in itself as online is undoable in old gens and a local trading requires an old ds or two systems)
or to wait for events for the legendaries to be available in the current gen, which sucks as the aspect of pokemon
that people love is to catch mons not to be spoonfed one for visiting websites or such
that being said, SINNOH AND UNOVA REMAKE WHEN?!
