Expect a Sinnoh remake on the 3DS following USUM, so expect a late 2018 release at the EARLIEST, and a early to mid 2019 release realistically. People seem to have written off a Gen VII Sinnoh remake, but look at Gen 4: Platinum came before Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
Another reason a Sinnoh remake following USUM would make sense is it would give the Switch team more time for development. Another set of 3DS games would realistically put the Switch games at a late 2019/early to mid 2020 release. I honestly don't know why so many people are expect Switch games in 2018. It's just not happening. Period. If anything, we MIGHT get an announcement late next year, but I would expect delays ala Gen 4. The Switch is a big jump for Game Freak.
A Unova remake most likely won't happen until 2021 or 2022, but there are some questions: would they remake only BW1, or would they remake BW1 and BW2, or would they condense them both into a single remake? You can't have one without the other.
