Completely hypothetical.

If you had her play similar role to Red in GSCHGSS, what would you make her team? Think Champion/Battle Subway/Battle Tree/whatever.

Basically, another "HUR MUH MC CANON TEAMS" thread, but let's just focus on Dawn, taking the position for this universe that she was the Platinum canon MC. Eventmons, official promo art, etc. are welcome, but not necessarily required.

Bonus points if it's actually a good team.

I made a chart. All are gifts or interactable, with the exception of Staraptor, Roserade, Floatzel, Weavile, Froslass and Snorlax; the first five are often seen in Sinnoh teams (such as the Rival's) and I put Snorlax in due to Munchlax's status in DPPt.

I admit the distinction is slightly arbitrary; I'm just going by which Pokémon receive the most attention from Gamefreak.

Also, Giratina would probably be Origin Forme, but I don't have that sprite.

This. It only makes sense. Barry is the impatient kid who can't sit still, so it makes sense he would pick the fast fire monkey, whereas Dawn, the slowpoke, takes the earth turtle. Empoleon also looks like Lucas with his Platinum jacket.

She is the canon protagonist though. Her and May are the only canon female protagonists so far. B2W2 and Sun/Moon don't have confirmed protagonists yet so there's still room for Rosa and Moon.

Lucario (cause gf), Rotom (wash? so she has a water type), Togekiss or Drifblim for flying (I'd vote for Drifblim so her team isn't just a copy of Cynthia's), maybe a fire-type? I know we're talking about Sinnoh here, but I think gf would give her one. Sixth one maybe Glaceon (already has Torterra for grass-type) or Porygon-z. Or both ignoring the fire type.

Alpha Sapphire is the better version. It makes more sense than reviving Groudon in the middle of the ocean. Seriously, the Omega Ruby cut scenes were so lackluster compared to Alpha Sapphire.
