Fire Red rom is for Kanto, Emerald is for Hoenn. HG and SS roms is for the follow pokémon feature (not mandatory)

Because PokeMMO doesn't infringe any copyright, it doesn't use any content by Pokemon, players use the ROMs not the game.
The client is completely pokemon free.

I played it ages ago back when it first came out but lost interest after a bunch of drama in the community came out. (One of the PR chicks sleeping her way to the top of the food chain, devs pocketing donation money, absolutely nothing getting done in terms of new content, ect ect ect).

I doubt anyone from Fuck Yeah Seaking still plays at this point either. Everyone just kinda died after Gen 3 dropped.

Gen 5 is being betatested.
Unless you're a comp players who absolutely hates legendaries on showdown and have too much time to grind and breed for stuff I don't recommend to play this.
