Plus the first comment said that a very generalized and completely different archetype of evolution would have been better than Primarina 100% of the time, and you probably agree that's a pretty uneducated assumption.
tl;dr: I can easily see a fan rendition of Crabominable being more popular than the original, but it's VERY unlikely the same would happen for Primarina, because for it to happen it would have needed to be more liked than something really liked.
