Super happy to see a comfy thread. Today's been nuts and I just need something to relax to.

I'm going through a Randomized Platinum Nuzlocke after failing one the millionth time, but so far I'm actually going pretty well. Had a lot of losses, but I still have 6 Pokemon on me and 7 badges. For now, I'm doing some training before Mt. Coronet, but I enjoy doing Nuzlockes in Platinum because it's my favorite Pokemon game. I also love Nuzlocke because it means I can give my Pokemon lame nicknames, lol.

Pic related is what I found as my first encounter in Route 209. Huntail itself would be decent if it didn't have poor Speed, but guess it's nice to have a Shiny anyway.

Welp, I played some MD: Explorers of Sky recently. Didn't get far, but damn is it great. It was quite some time since a game made me legitimately smile.

This game really made me feel things. I never really bonded with a character in game as much as I did with my partner, Eevee in my case.

Your partner is a pretty cliche character, honestly, but his/her progression, from a coward, then meeting you and becoming progressively braver along the course of the game was a great development

This game is just the definition of cozy for me.

Recently started a fire monotype in heartgold, current leader of the team is Leeroy the Arcanine. He's survived my rival's croconaw spamming watergun, raichu using thunderbolt, whitney's miltank, and a fight with a diglet spamming magnitude. I love this guy.

And, lemme just add, I'm in the point in the game past Apple Woods, and I have to say (Spoilers), the way your partner just loses all hope and energy when Chatot tells you you probably won't go on the expedition, but then Bidoof and comes and reassures you and your partner is just...

I'd lie if I said I didn't tear up a little.

Yeah. I loved Chatot before this. After that, he was just a fucking asshole and when they tried to do something sad with him, I was just like "give me a fucking break, this guy is a literal moron who doesn't have a clue what is happening with a superiority complex".

To be perfectly honest, the only game in which I liked Chatot was PokePark (A really cool time killer IMO, despite being pretty childish, and a very cozy game, especially the second one.). For the whole time, I silently hoped that my partner would just start thinking whether joining the Guild was a good idea, but the whole thing with Bidoof was really nicely pulled off, and I preferred that in the end.

Though I liked how Chatot became much rougher after the Apple Woods during the morning roll call.

Pretty well. Before I began training, I only had 4 Pokemon on me and knew that the journey from Mt. Coronet all the way to the Distortion World won't be easy. So I picked up both a Nidoking and a Kingdra that I caught early in the Nuzlocke and see how they turn out. Nidoking is a lot of fun to use and Kingdra's one of my favorites, so I'm happy that they're levelling up quickly. I'm almost done with training, so I hope everything pays off.

I am also working my way through HG, but I don't play very often. I haven't really picked up my DS for the last couple of months, and when I play my progress gets halted all the time because I find new pokes I wanna breed and train. But it is really fun and quite comfy regardless!
Pic related is my team, I am half way through Kanto, I think. I might switch Gyarados for Slowbro or Lapras. I also really like Vileplume, so I might pick it up instead of Tangrowth.
