The different color scheme is also a part of it, cause you know all those stuffed animals that are colored differently from their real life counterparts? I mean, everyone knows elephants aren't ACTUALLY blue, but there are loads of blue stuffed elephants. It's like that.
And everything here applies to Bewear, as well, but with a mascot costume instead of a stuffed animal. Japan knows a lot about stuffed mascots.
I didn't really like Bewear and Stufful at first, but Pokemon are much more than a design, you know? It adds a lot of depth to them when you really find out about them, which is what makes a lot of other Pokemon great, too. Stufful and Bewear are proof that first impressions of new Pokemon are usually uncalled for.
