Male is the state of having at least one Y chromosome and female is the state of not having any Y chromosomes.
You can have full female plumbing and still be genetically male in other words because errors happen in development. While presumably rare (though for reason I'll mention in a moment we can't know exactly how rare), these people exist and they can even give birth.
In the case of biological males appearing female, they can even be better women than actual females depending upon what you want out of a relationship because if, for example, they're missing their ovaries but have everything else that marks a female outwardly, then things like PMS can't happen. They also can't get pregnant in such situations if you don't want that.
For all you know your mother is actually your second father in other words because most people also aren't tested for it (which is also why we don't know an actual number for how common it may or may not be) and weren't tested for it at all 30+ years ago because we didn't know what DNA was.
If you want another example, calico cats. Usually female, they can exist as male if they have Klinefelter Syndrome meaning they have more than 2 pairs being at least XXY.
Regardless of ostensibly being female since the pattern is a female trait, that one Y is all it takes to say it's male. It's looks don't matter.
But I digress... Digimon being data, they don't have any chromosomes at all regardless of what physical attributes you give them so Renamon's claim is correct in that image regardless of your modifications.
