They'd probably have as much freedom as they have in the Pokemon world, and animals have irl. Not much of any at all.

Life would be, well.. like it is in the Pokemon world. Because if Pokemon existed, it would be the Pokemon world.

And I suddenly don't need to worry shit about demolition.

Throw in an Alolan muk for waste disposal, a machamp for heavy lifting, a firetype to help recycle scrap metal, and a maybe a joltik or magnamite to help with wireing and shit and I might be golden for everything but measuring out, install, and buying shit.

People would probably use them day to day in jobs and such and people would also most likely keep their own as pets. As for having sex with them I'm sure I'd be similar to how beastiality is treated currently. I think the biggest difference would come from how dangerous some pokemon are, especially if you look at some of their dex entries. Certain pokemon are incredibly overpowered. Some pokemon would be illegal, or require a license to own. Pokemon would most likely be used to commit crimes and be used to wage wars because of their power. It wouldn't be very hard to kill somone with a pokemon because of how powerful many of them are. Police and armies would all have to have strong pokemon of their own. I don't think pokemon terrorism would rampant though since it does take a modicum of skill to raise and train pokemon and use them effectively, but strong trainers would be somewhat of a threat. Pokemon battles would surely be looked down upon and seen as similar to cockfighting and be banned in many places due to animal rights groups and such.
