How about the inverse; items that make all the Pokémon's attacks become one type?
Gives STAB to any attack but restricts type diversity.

Off the top of my head, Foretress could take advantage of a STAB volt switch and the ability to not get spin blocked. Really, could be nice for a lot of Mons that didn't need offensive coverage in the first place.

Not much of a problem.

If a Fairy type resists Steel, there's a good chance they have another outstanding weakness. Fire for example.

why the hell would it use boomburst as dragon stab? it would use it as flying because nothing is immune to flying. you'd use it like swellow, just slap specs on it and spam boomburst.
