>>33040671While I admit I don't like gurdurr and I consider it the weakest design of its line, what bothers me about it aren't the veins or its clown nose. It's its... lumps. Or hair, or whatever those are. I can kinda see they were going for a clown wig, but with timburr's pompadour and conkeldurr's ponytail, having a head full of lumps just looks so out of place. It reminds me of when I'm trying to draw a fakemon, don't have a good idea for its head-shape and I just draw whatever. Conkeldurr has the same problem to a lesser extent: so uh how do we draw the face of this guy that is the final evo of a woodchuck-looking mon? uuh well what if we give it a clown nose and a gray beard that doesn't look like hair? yeah surely that's the best possible execution.
The vein motif of the line could have been made a lot better too, but all things considered, if I don't have a problem with machoke, then I don't really mind this.
