It's only a 6.2" screen. That's barely bigger than most phones and maybe not even that if you've got a casing on your phone which will buff it up.
You don't need the damn Joycon attached when you're not playing, so it's no excuse to demand to have it fit in your pocket with them attached.
Not unless you'd accept some retard arguing the GBA SP, DS family, and 3DS family systems don't fit in pockets because they don't want to close them. They close, they detach you do it and stop the fucking bullshit, simple as that.
Not that any of this matters since you do realize this is a Nintendo handheld, right? Which means there will be other versions, especially for poorfags.
Remove Bluetooth, attach the Joycon, lower the default memory to maybe 16 GB, don't include a dock, and shrink it in general and you've got yourself a $200 version.
