Maybe if USM disspoints in sales. The process of moving on to next game. Is quicker.

Newest Monster hunter in march disspointed in sales according to capcom. They ported same game to switch for August release and announce new mainline monster hunter

The direct happened at 6am eastern time and 7pm Japanese lol and it was the first worldwide release at same time for Pokemon

Game freak cares most about Japan. It's there bread and butter. They make a shit ton off of merch sales

The main sales period of holidays was reached in the first 3 months

Gen 5 lasted 3 years in Japan and 2 years in the west

Because you're completely disregarding a US release even though GF has now switched to the international model now. One single release period for a country is null at this point. If you're going by patterns, all that matters now is the time between the latest game release and the newest game announcement, which the last case of this was three fucking months. January is way too early. February is optimal because of the popularity of wanting a core Switch game to be announced soon and for pre orders to spike early on in the year.

Or the 3 months. Kill sales after 3 months and getting people hyped about a game that released 9-10 months.

We don't know, but throwing the 3 month idea out the window is a stubborn and naive move. It should still be considered

Because it makes very little sense unless USM flops and Game freak just moves to preserve hype for Pokemon by introducing the next generation on new system.

Game freak has a ton of patience and they it can announce a game whenever they want and people will buy it.

Why would game freak kill legs off of its own game?
