ruby was the first game I played without my sister. I felt really alone because my sister was no longer interested in pokemon but I guess that made the region comfort me all the more.
I love everything about hoenn, I think all of its legendaries are awesome and have sick music. I love the characters, I loved ribbons, I dunno. It just means a lot to me.
It was also around this time that I discovered that you could find help and discuss pokemon online. It was magical.
The tedious work of getting up sky pillar was worth it.
