Community made games that aren't directly competing (in particular ones that aren't complete) generally aren't touched unless something is coming.
The official 3DS remake for M2 obviously being why AM2R was taken down, for example.
Same case with Uranium. Instead of waiting for a bit until another lull when they intended to keep updating the game anyway meaning they could've waited, they go into full release a couple months before S/M in the middle of it's hype season?
They were not even just asking but DEMANDING to be shut down by going into full release mode then, the idiots.
Things like Rebirth etc. have been going for years as well because they've never been in real competition with an actual game as of yet.
