stuff like shell armor prevents crits
magma armor prevents being frozen
multiscale is practically armor

Cosmetic upgrade items that alter the look of your Pokemon while filling the space an item would normally take.

In essence, it's basically giving an item to your Pokemon and the Pokemon benefits slightly from the item held. Only difference would be a cosmetic upgrade.

It's not armor or a fusion, it's Necrozma using its power to bend light to form a hard-light projection of the light-emitting Pokemon it's copying, Lunala or Solgaleo.
