It's not really an organic design though. I like it, but I don't think it could be a Pokemon; I can't see these things arising naturally, it feels too human without some sort of consistent theming if that makes any sense

First off, we have always been at a point where fakemon designs can be better than official designs. There are definitely fakemon designs out there that are superior to some gen 1-6 designs just like there are fakemon that are superior to gen 7 designs. This is nothing new.

Not that anon but there is such a thing as moderation. You dont need to remove every element. At the same time, you dont need to add everything but the kitchen sink to its design. It could definitely use an editing eye. I honestly love all of the elements of it, but not all on the same pokemon. Theres enough going on her to make two separate and better pokemon.

Gardevoir was designed in a way that makes the dress a natural part of it, as opposed to a clothing it wears. Until M-Gard happens, at least.
A better comparison would be Sawk/Throh with their karate gi.
