I don't mind bro rivals at all as a concept, and Hau is probably the best implementation of it. Wally as a decent-hearted guy who genuinely just wants to be the strongest is also good.
But Blue and Silver were the really memorable ones, and there's a reason why "rival" is a concept in the first place thanks to them. Let 'em learn a lesson at the end of the game, but at the *end* and keep them your asshole rival for all of the actual gameplay.
