The Porygon incident is looked back at from a more "historical"/hmm wow intriguing angle these days.

This GO Fest shit is probably going to be the most negative blow to the franchise in a long while, if only because normies and normie media WILL cover this, as opposed to simple shit like "SM were bad games" or something which never leaves the confines of the community.

I'm not looking forward to whatever Damage Control that GameFreak has planned since most of this heat is gonna shift over to Nintendo and them despite having no actual involvement in Niantic's incompetence with this event.

At this point, any past tragedies related to Pokemon like the Porygon Episode are more like interesting bits in the franchise's early years.

It wasn't exactly the app though, more like the actual event where thousands of people paid to go stand in line for hours and play an app that barely even worked. Some of them even paid thousands of dollars to travel to the event which is kind of stupid honestly.
