You can link your NNID to the Nintendo Account and it shows all purchases made on both.

Though they've hidden it from us since the feature debuted, we know it exists and I can't see another reason for making it do so except to finally smarten up and stop making us pay for games we've already bought in the past.

That's the thing anon. Nobody knows. I think they'll put it on both because gamefreaks retarted. They can't optimize their 3ds games so putting their new shit on switch will actually make it run at a stable frame rate. And Nintendo is still supporting the 3DS, no reason to not do this.

The DS had limitations on what it could get due to the lack of storage (so no patching those dumb gen 5 glitches, for example) and the online servers were about to be shut down so they had a good reason to move.

Outside of Nintendo forcing them to abandon the 3DS, why make gen 8 Switch-only?

Can't even say "graphics" when they haven't even optmized the 3DS ones.

Backwards compatibility is not gonna be a thing for any console going forward because 1) it's much easier to make a new CPU than it is to just build on top of the old one, meaning you have to emulate previous generations, meaning you have to have a ridiculously powerful console and 2) there's a lot of money to be made in "remasters" and re-releases.

It sounds like your complaints are just about the modern technology and games industry, not Nintendo. People have been demanding Nintendo become more like Sony and Microsoft for 15 years now, this is what you get.

That's exactly the problem, Creatures Inc didn't optimize the models for 3DS, they were future-proofed so they wouldn't have to make new ones for a long time.
