I waited for 1 hour 20 minutes in the cold waiting at the only legendary raid of my rural city and confirmed not one single other person plays this garbage.

First I'd like to thank my autism for not letting me mass evolve shitmon weeks ago like a normal person. They all laughed at me when I said I was waiting for a double xp event and laughed again when I said hanke would bless us with his eternal wisdom.
Secondly I'd like to thank the hank himself for providing us with increased spawns and double everything.
Without him, I wouldn't have been able to evolve 1.2 million xp worth of shitmon.
I have seen the light and I have seen darkness. At both ends stands Hanke. Proving that nothing is set in stone... and nothing is personal.

2. crowdfund a map scanner for your town
3. set up a Telegram/Discord channel, with sub channel for specific areas of the town and raids
4. make IRL friends hunting rares and doing raids together

we had literally 100 people going from raid to raid all day yesterday, it was fucking glorious, some peeps got like 10-15 of each Legendary in an afternoon.

a scanner for a huge city costs like 50-100 US $/month and it's significantly less for tiny rural towns, all you need is 10-20 people and it'll cost next to nothing if they all donate equally.

Our Telegram got like 800 people and I paid 1$ for like 6+ months worth of scanner (no apps involved, it's just a web page, so it won't compromise your account), with IV's/PL's/moves/pokestops/gyms/raids... totally worth it and really adds to the experience.

It all depends on the catch and the amount of balls you have to try.

2% if normal throw and no catch bonus
5% if spin throw and no catch bonus
10% if spin throw and excellent catch bonus

You also need to factor in critical balls and the possibility that it just defies logic and gives you it anyway.

I, like many of you, have a job. That job requires me to be working from the minute I get there, to the minute I leave, with no time to leave for any reason.

Saturday, our raid window was already closed when legendaries were released. Yesterday, I didn't get home from work until 9pm. Today, I got out at 7pm, and had just enough time to drive around town and see all the Arcticuno raids ticking down their last 15 minutes, and arrive at the only one with other players at it just as they were all finishing their battle.

Now we're hearing that Arcticuno is being removed "after a short while"?!

To say that I'm unhappy would be an understatement.

But maybe it's my fault, for requiring a job to provide me with the resources to buy food and pay rent.

the most casual of casuals caught LOO GEE UH and got 96%+. I manage to get like 1/6th of all my attempts and best art/lug is 82%. its just not fair. some level 16 kid (literal child) got a perfect lugia on liek second ball. was triggered.

Porygon is next to impossible to find. And they're also pretty rare to hatch. A good iv one is a nice find but unfortunately they aren't very useful in the gym system. Shame, too, because it's a great 'mon.

TL;DR I finally understand why everyone at Fest was so pissed. Only being able to fight in 6/10 raids, get rewards for 5/10, having to use revives/potions on pokemon you didn't even get to use AND losing half your passes thanks to game/network issues. If it wasn't for the guaranteed catch bonus this would have really sucked.
