God, what a worthless character. Even Wally got up in his feet better than her and he had a medical condition IIRC (was it asthma? I think it was).

Because, she's not a Pokémon Trainer.
I like Lillie being useless, it make the main character feels more like a real hero.

We need more helpless characters in the future generations of Pokémon.

Kusaka is neutering Lillie like he did Wally and Cheren and Bianca because she is an "outlier", an atypical entity that is an interfering in his personal manga canon based on the standards he expects from GF. He doesn't really like it when they step out of their zone to try something new.

Even if she didn't, the player would eventually run into the Nebby and be required to capture it because it wants to help you.
She's just a middleman between you and the mandatory Legendary catch that's been a factor since Generation 5.

Yep. Nebby teleported them both out because Lillie was about to get stopped. So not only does Lillie fail at keeping track of Cosmog, she also fails at helping it out. It has to do the heavy work itself.

The only thing Lillie really does is help Cosmeom evolve and heal your team.
