High power moves

No.33118902 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So, what form of high power moves is best? 1HKOs, or doing so much damage it might as well be a 1HKO?

For the purpose of this though experiment, imagine GF has tasked you with hammering out the details with the signature move of their next event legendary (assume z-moves don't work on it), and these are the choices they hand you:

Electrocute Alpha
Electric, physical, 50% accuracy, causes the foe to faint automatically. Does not follow the same accuracy rules as other 1HKO moves like Fissure, it can work on higher leveled pokemon and pays attention to its user's accuracy (and opponent's evasion) boosts and drops. And yes it has more accuracy than Fissure ever will, that's not a mistake.

Electrocute Beta
Electric, Physical, 50% accuracy, always does exactly 720 damage just like Dragon Rage or Sonic Boom but on steroids (The most HP Blissey, highest base HP in the game, can ever have is 714, by the way)

Electrocute Gamma
Physical, Electric, 50% Accuracy, 255 Base Power, halves enemy's defense like Explosion from RGBY
Now it simply has the maximum Base Power and does so much damage it might as well 1HKO the everything.

Which one would be the best/strongest? Which one would you tell them to use?

Are there any other ways I'm missing that can cause 1HKOs?
