Gamefreak is really odd about Tyranitar imo, it's the only pseudo that nobody really seems to use in-game.

Even as a child, this bugged me. Then in the remakes it gets worse when Red no longer has an Espeon, meaning both Champions only use Kanto Pokemon.

I'm completing the gen 3 pokedex and currently using him in Emerald.

His level-up moveset is kind of shit.

I'm also using a Cyndaquil and Milotic.

Agree 100% on this OP. The least they could have done is give Karen a Pupitar or Tyranitar as her signature Pokémon so you'd at least know that it existed before Mt. Silver. & they should have given Morty a Misdreavus too.

I agree with morty but imo they did larvitar right. It was a hidden reward for becoming the strongest trainer in the game, like a prize. Not everything needs to be seen as you play the story.
