Lunala and Solgaleo are awful legendaries. They don't have anything to do with the sun and the moon outside of their appearance and some lore that we never see in play.
Meanwhile, what they actually do in the story is more fitting for Palkia and Dialga.
If they're going to continue spitting out redundant legendaries like that, I'd rather if they used the old ones.
Hell, people love to criticize XY but at least they had great legendaries.
