Whatever ball matched the particular Ultra Beast's color scheme the best, same as any Pokémon. Hidden Power soft resetting for some of them took a while, but it was worth it.

All of them fit in Heavyball as well, Pheromosa and Buzzwhole can also be in Sportball, Kartana in Levelball, Celesteela and Guzzlord in Moonball and finally Xuritree in fastball.

i got my kartana in a level ball too. Though i caught another in premier and another in fast, I primarily use the level ball one.
I don't like the animation for Moon Ball so I never used it.

I got a level ball kartana, caught another in a premier. I haven't caught all kartanas so I could wait which one I can trade for non beast ball pheromosa or celesteela, then catch the rest with the ball i traded away
I think i'm gonna catch guzzlord in beast or quick ball, but i already have one in beast ball from my first playthrough so I'm gonna go with quick

Nothing but luxury balls. I only use luxury balls to catch pokemon once they're available. Also had a streak of unbelievably shit luck and had to throw over 200 at 1 health paralyzed buzzwole before catching one

I'm working on catching an adamant Celesteela in a heavy ball and i'm not sure what balls for my last two. I'm greatful grateful for the extra moon ball from the recent mission so I can catch Guzzlord in it.

When they're a mandatory capture, they typically have a catch rate of 45. Reshiram/Zekrom, Xerneas/Yveltal, Rayquaza, Solgaleo/Lunala.

Those are for Poke Balls. Pheromosa and Kartana really have a 255 catch rate.
