This is very surprising. I'm not sure why. Maybe there saving it for 2019 season but it gives 0 incentive to buy ultra sun and moon now instead of just practicing sun and moon

I don't get it

The way there ducking ultra sun and moon is concerning

Joe is being dumb, 2018 season starts soon not in November, so of course it's being played on SM for now. They'll update it to say USM when the game hits and the 2018 ruleset is announced.

This confirms VGC 19 in USM and probably that the switch games switchfags are waiting for aren't even main series games and will coexist with USM (without being used for official tournaments, which makes them inferior).

They have bigger and better teams now. They games shouldn't be delayed now especially since they temp dev contract ends may 2018. They are probably late in development and planed everything at this point.

There's no way the games are getting delayed at this point, if they were, they would have listed "2017 or Later" like they're doing with the Switch games

But this proves other things. There will be no incentives like new Alolan forms or new Mega Evolutions. If they had new of either, there would be an incentive for VGC to use USUM.

The only thing were getting related to Alolan forms and Megas are new Z-Moves. Which is not enough of an incentive.

Almost no buys Pokémon exclusively for the competitive side. They don't give a fuck what game the new format is on. Besides tutors are, mostly likely, being released in the next game so your going to have buy the new game either way.

I'm guessing there are only Move Tutors and New Z-Moves in USUM. No new forms or mega evolutions besides Pikachu, Solgaleo, and Lunala. Maybe Necrozma.

ORAS had 22 new Mega Evolutions. That was a major reason to use it in championships. I guess that GF wants championships accessible to everyone.

Oh yeah, people can give move tutor moves to Alola Pokemon in USUM then transfer them back...

Actually it's said to end around that time.

The point i that it could be extended if it's needed. So yes, they're clearly planning for next year but it won't definitely end in the spring.

What it likely proves is that they couldn't get whatever venue it was any later so they're forced to use S/M rather than US/UM. Especially after the complaints about only having 2 weeks last year, do you really think they're going to demand people use US/UM on the weekend of release, you imbecile?
