Because Z was cancelled and the assets reused, they had to be implemented anyway since the forms were already revealed

Because Peck is physical attack and Gust is special attack.

What I'm confused with is why they bothered to give Zygarde a signature move that is literally exactly the same as Earthquake but weaker.

Since Zygarde Cells and Cores seem to exist everywhere around the pokémon world zygarde can basically "be everywhere" when it transforms there, so I think these caves exist all over the world

Sucks that Zygarde didn't get a game focused on it. Puts him in a unique position though. Just wish his complete form would be ready once sent out and have a BST of 720 instead of 708.

Because "third Legendaries" like Rayquaza and Giratina dont get focus until third versions

Zygy is unique in that he gets to be one for X and Y but also Sun and Moon at the same time

The unexplained Terminus Cave design on Poni Island is probably gonna be expanded upon in Ultra since that's where Guzzlond and the "last" of the 100 Cells were chillin

Expanding on this, both Zygarde and Guzzlord have TONS of similarities
